Dear Representative Schneider:

On behalf of Warren County's educators, I am asking when the audit of the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) required under SB 133 will be released to the Ohio public and to Ohio teachers? The audit was to have been released first in January, then May of 2006, what is the holdup? Six STRS Board members and ex-director Herb Dyer have to date been convicted of ethics violation. To many educators, it is felt that much has been hidden by STRS as to mismanagement and possible legal violations as well as possibly ethics violations by STRS staff. To continue to withhold the special audit results only promotes the feeling that the facts are being kept from the public. Please see attached emails.

Please let Warren County know when the audit results are to be released and how WCRTA may obtain a copy of the audit findings.
