Subject: Damon: STRS Board Meeting Agendas

Membership complained on Thurs. re: putting controversial issues on Friday's agenda when you know most cannot return not having STRS to pay for overstays and meals, gas, etc.

This is NO way you could not have known these issues would be of the highest importance to us and this was a clear and deliberate move to save yourself embarrassment and dissent from attendees for the Board.

PLEASE remember, you and Board Members are there FOR US BECAUSE WE PAY YOU AND HAVE ELECTED MOST of you. It is politics at its worse to arrange the agenda so that WE could not hear or see the discussion on those issues such as your contract and voting without documentation and credit cards we were led to believe did not exist.

DID YOU THINK WE WOULD NOT HEAR?

Please do not ever underestimate our intelligence as some must do, thinking because you sit silent on Thurs., we do not know what occurs on Fri. and after meetings. We have an open line because it is public knowledge on all things not Exec. Session. THAT IS how it should be with all Board Members. NO MORE secret hallway admonishments or dealings, folks! Those days are over. This is not a good ol boys and girls club and you should all be admonished by your constituency who feel 'secrets' should be held other than Exec. Session.

YOU ARE THERE FOR US! YOU ARE NOT PRIVILEGED OR ENTITLED TO ANYTHING! If you feel you are, you need leave. AND please remember, your silence in front of us only to vote for wrong according to membership in back rooms or when we are not present, embellishes our lack of trust in you and why you are there.

WE WANT ISSUES ON THURS AGENDAS THAT ARE OF INTEREST TO MEMBERSHIP AND CRITICAL TO THEM. YOU CAN TELL EASILY CAUSE IT WILL BE THE ONES YOU ARE HEARING ABOUT FROM US! THAT IS WHY YOU MOVED THEM TO FRI! DO NOT BOTHER TELLING ME A RUNAROUND (THE REASON JOHN LAZARES TOLD YOU IT INSULTED HIS INTELLIGENCE BEC IT INSULTS ALL OUR INTELLIGENCE)! That doesn't work with us. Those days are gone. You cannot get away with anything anymore-EVER. So don't bother doing things like lumping large sums together with no names and no specific trips. Who do you think you are dealing with? HAVE YOU NOT LEARNED YET!

DO THE RT THING AND STOP SLINKING AROUND TRYING TO COVER THINGS UP MAKING CALCULATED DECISIONS TO MISGUIDE US AND GUESS WHAT? NO PROBLEMS!

Many come a long way to see what is really happening and to show support for our electees. We wish to do just that.

Believe me when I tell you, we ask WHO SAID WHAT AND WHO VOTED HOW! PUBLIC RECORD! NO SECRETS!
