Public school forum in Akron, April 14

From RH Jones, April 2, 2007
Subject: Your chance to speak on Ohio education
To all in N.E. Ohio:
Today, 04/02/07, the Akron Beacon Journal published an article: Public school forum April 14 at library:
Akron: A forum dubbed The Shame! Shame! Who's to Blame? will take a look at public education in Ohio at 9:30 a.m. April 14 at Akron-Summit County Library, 60 S. High St. Panelists for the League of Women Voters event include Edwin Holland, superintendent of schools in Cuyahoga Falls; Charles Parsons of White Hat management; state Sen. Tom Sawyer, D-Akron; and state Rep Brian Williams, D-Akron. A question-and-answer session will follow the discussion.
Friends of public school students, their active/retired teachers, this is your chance to speak out public to defend the public schools that have kept our nation free for over 200 years. Private schools are fine so long as they are NOT supported by our public tax dollars. The advent of charter schools and the like have weakened public schools by taking desperately needed legitimate tax dollars away. It is time to put a stop to this! Be at the forum to support those who support our public schools.
