"I appreciate any group or individual that works in a lawful manner to protect teacher retirement benefits including health care."

Subject: response to email

This is in response to Kathie Bracy's email concerning FCRTA & ORTA. Copy sent to Tom Seaman & Fred Ricketts.

To Kathie Bracy:

In response to your second e-mail: Everyone has the right to their own opinion, & I respect yours. During my thirty-two years of teaching & coaching, I realized it is impossible to please everyone all the time. I have strived through the years to do the best job I could do in what ever position I found myself.

As a life member of FCRTA and also ORTA, I appreciate any group or individual that works in a lawful manner to protect teacher retirement benefits including health care. I personally have no negative comments about CORE. As for FCRTA and CORE - several weeks ago at Mary Ellen Angeletti's request, I met with her & David Parshall. The meeting was cordial. I invited Mary Ellen to post CORE news and events on the FCRTA website.

In regard to the recognition award I received at the FCRTA April luncheon/meeting, it came from the NRTA. It was given in recognition of my volunteer service to the community & Charity Newsies specifically. Since my retirement from the Columbus School System, I have spent the last 20 years volunteering at the C.N. Headquarters which has amounted to at least 1200 hours each year. FCRTA & ORTA were just the messengers of this recognition award & the award has nothing to do with my volunteer work with FCRTA or ORTA.
