Dan Vincent: The Better Candidate for STRS Board

Editor, Chillicothe Gazette:

This year there are two good candidates running for one active teacher member position on the Ohio State Teacher Retirement System (STRS) Board. This board makes decisions that affect the financial future of both active teachers and retirees. Active teachers may vote between April 4 and May 5 to fill one position. The better candidate is Dan Vincent.

Dan Vincent is curriculum director of Medina County Schools. He has thirty years of experience as a teacher, speech therapist and administrator who supports educators and students. Dan is an independent thinker who will not be manipulated by any one group, but will strive to cooperate with all fellow board members. He will make decisions that will guard the pension and healthcare funds of teachers just like Dennis Leone and John Lazarus have done. Teachers should vote for Dan Vincent for STRS Board.
