Don Hyatt to STRS Board: Who will speak for those who retired many years ago?

Who will speak for older retirees who retired many years ago? These are teachers who served at very low wages, but were encouraged to stick with it because they would have a good retirement and would have a fair COLA to keep up with their expenses. These people did without to do the right thing. They trusted the STRS to provide for them in their old age. I feel that the STRS is throwing these people under the bus.

Perhaps it is time for the STRS employees take it for the team, and stand up for those people who did the right thing. Perhaps the STRS should cut back with their expenses.
