STRS market losses

The investment portfolio of the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio has lost $12.3 billion, or 20.9 percent, from its peak on Aug. 31, 2000.

8/31/00 (peak): $58.8 billion
9/30/02 (bottom): $41.6 billion
6/4/03 (current): $46.5 billion
