Subject: March CORE Meeting

CORE will hold its March meeting on Thursday, March 15th at 11:45 as planned earlier. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO STRS MEETING IN THE MORNING OF THURSDAY, MAR. 15TH. The entire morning will be held in Executive Session for the Board to review disability cases. CORE will meet as usual in the small cafeteria room behind the Sublett Room around 11:30 (or earlier if you wish) to eat lunch. The meeting will begin promptly at 11:45.

The STRS building is located at 275 East Broad Street (Map/directions) in Columbus with ample FREE parking behind the building in the parking garage. Following lunch and our CORE meeting, the public session of the STRS meeting will begin at 1:00 with Dr. Asbury's Executive Director report, the Public Speaks portion, and then a report by the Investment Department. The STRS meeting will recess for the day after the investment report.

On Friday, the STRS Retirement Board meeting will resume at 9:00 a.m. with reports from the Member Benefits Department concerning health care and pension benefits.

IF YOU, AS A STRS RETIREE BENEFICIARY, ARE UPSET ABOUT BEING EXPECTED TO ATTEND TWO DAYS IN ORDER TO HEAR REPORTS ON HEALTH CARE & PENSION BENEFITS AS WELL AS PUBLIC SPEAKS AND THE INVESTMENT REPORT, THEN PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND ON THURSDAY, MARCH 15TH AND PLAN ON PARTICIPATING AT PUBLIC SPEAKS BY PREPARING A 3 MINUTE SPEECH SHARING YOUR DISPLEASURE. YOUR SPEECH NEED NOT BE ANYTHING FORMAL. REMEMBER THAT THIS MONTH'S STRS BOARD SCHEDULE ACCOMMODATES THE CHAIR'S TEACHING SCHEDULE. THE FINAL SCHEDULE FOR EACH MONTHLY STRS MEETING WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE CHAIR OF THE STRS BOARD.
