Worst Deal in the Country
The Problem.
The Wisconsin Legislative Council completed a comparative review of every public pension in the United States.
CONCLUSION: STRS Ohio is the only public pension in the country that has a negative normal employer cost, which means Ohio teachers contribute more than the value of their pension.

The value of our pension should be worth more.
The report above, along with independent comparative studies using the Public Plans Database on the Boston College Center for Retirement Research website, clearly shows Ohio teachers have the worst pension deal in the United States.
Luxury Benefits, Pay Raises & No Accountability.
The STRS Board of Directors have been complacent. They keep kicking the can down the road and offer no new solutions to this problem. Robert McFee, Jeffrey Rhodes and Rita Walters have been making bad decisions for years.
Instead of focusing on the improvement of our pension fund, they're focus last week at the annual meeting was pay bumps for the staff, more spending on luxury perks and thinking everything is business as usual. It shouldn't be. Hundreds of thousands of teachers in Ohio deserve accountability.
The Solution.
