The Famous Fire Alarm Story -- You won't believe it till you find out where it happened! Coincidence? What do you think?

From John Curry

I'll bet newbies out there never heard of the (false) fire alarm Bonus vote at the August 2020 meeting. At that meeting Ohio Treasurer's REFORM (shock, shock) representative (since replaced) Board member Yoel Mayerfeld had to leave the meeting early and was going to vote against bonuses. Welllllllll....shortly before the afternoon vote was taken, and shortly before Yoel had to leave.... SOME IDIOT SET OFF THE FIRE ALARM.

This caused a delay in the meeting and Yoel had to leave the meeting BEFORE THE VOTE WAS TAKEN. Bill Neville knew that Yoel had to leave the meeting early. Funny how things like fire alarms tend to "pop up" and delay those votes, isn't it. The delayed vote (without Yoel) was finally taken and the BONUSES PASSED BY 1 VOTE! Funny how that alarm was not discussed or explained by the Administration isn't it? Great timing, eh? You don't suppose this alarm was NOT accidental, do you?
From MOFer John Bos - "The fire alarm system is addressable. This means that the panel knows where the alarm was initiated. Even though the building was lightly occupied (due to Covid) at that time, the source of the alarm was never revealed. Much like your cell phone and computer when information is deleted it cannot be recovered."
