It hasn't been publicly announced yet, but the Columbus Rotary Club has scored what should prove to be a fascinating debate on charter schools next month.

Facing off will be House Speaker Jon Husted, a Dayton area Republican who has been an ardent supporter of charter schools, and state Sen. Teresa Fedor, a Toledo Democrat and former Toledo elementary school teacher who has been perhaps her party's most strident critic of Ohio's school voucher program.

The debate will be held Aug. 7 at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus. It is tentatively scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
