Subject: HB 700

Please do NOT go forward with the reading and promotion of HB 700. This bill if passed will severely deplete STRS funds which are made up of hard earned money from teachers' salaries. It would also impact retirement systems for firefighters, police, state patrol, and others. What can you be thinking? Let me guess: $$$ for you and other brokers. Yes, divide and conquer rather than have a few large retirement systems where the members have some power and authorities can provide oversight. I know you have said that you are not in that sort of investment business but I am sure you would be able to get into that field once you are out of office, hired by any number of "grateful" brokerage companies. You are young enough to have been one of my students. Get your mind right, boy!
