Those of you Ohioians who wish to attend Gov. Strickland's Akron Roundtable luncheon at 11:45, Thursday, at the Tangier restaurant in Akron may send your $15 check for reservations to:

Please keep in mind that today honors MLK and post offices are closed. Be sure to mail your check early tomorrow (Tuesday, 1/16). I am quite sure that this would be a legitimate refundable expense from your active/retired teacher union. Phone them for authorization for reimbursement. Parking is free at the Tangier, 532 W. Market St.

If you are not going to the STRS board, same day meeting, please attend the roundtable. Actvie/retired teachers need a strong showing at this important event. Although Strickland has not yet revealed his speeches' subject, the media will be there to report on the speech and the public input -- that is where we should be available! We need to speak up for children, education, our STRS, and it's positive roll in the economic health of Ohio!
