Hello Dan,

Yes, we did put up a good fight this year. CORE was able to reach more teachers with your credentials then any candidate we have promoted. Thank you for caring and taking the time out of your busy life to be CORE's candidate.

Unfortunately, the unions have also increased the activity concerning the election of their candidate. They have large sums of educators' money and a large following to do such. If the typical teacher is a willing sheep, this will never change. I was one of those sheep throughout my career and only realized afterwards, that was a huge mistake.

John Lazares may go down in history as the only non-union candidate who ever won a seat on the STRS board. That is a sad commentary, for the unions are responsible for having failed to establish a dedicated flow of income for HC in the past. That OEA controlled board of the 90's and early 2000's did so much harm, contrary to what they believe. Their egos became so inflated; that they took their eye off of the real reason they were there. Consequently, all educators have been suffering ever since.
