Don Gatchell: Letter to Strickland staff re: last minute mud slinging

From Don Gatchell, November 6, 2006
Subject: Terrible Anti-Ted Newspaper Ad
Dear Strickland Staff:
I just read my local newspaper, The Chillicothe Gazette. In the paper is a full-page ad denouncing Ted by claiming he has one of the worst records in Congress and he should be listed in the company of Ney, etc., etc. and we should all vote for the 'angelic' Blackwell who is going to uplift business and help the poorest Ohioans. Wrong! The ad states that the source is an Ohio University group. This is expected last-minute 'mud slinging', but it is even sleazier than I thought possible.
Is this ad circulating all over Ohio? Can you challenge Ohio U. to state the university is not affiliated with the proBlackwell group supporting this ad, then have the media publicize the fallacy of the ad? Is there anything proStrickland Dems can do to help Ted at the last minute?
Thanks,
Don Gatchell
