Sondra Stratton to Susan Zelman: Puckett must go

From Sondra Stratton, Tuesday, September 5, 2006
Ms. Zelman,
Just a note from the recent past President of Brown County Retired Teachers Association. As one of those "malcontents" who began this long hard journey to clean up the problems and make it what it used to be, I concur with Mr. Tron.
If we can not get one on the STRS board who is looking out for retirees from the State Educational office, we are really hurting. These people who sit on the board should be voting on issues that affect the system and retirees and all future retirees, should have one concern......3307.15!!!!!!
The fact that board members do not see written paperwork before voting on issues that deal with great amounts of money is absolutely ridiculous! That is just one area of concern.
Your representative has consistently voted with right along with those who do NOT have retirees best interests at heat! PLEASE replace him with someone who is more knowledgeable of retirement funds NOT CORPORATE profit making organizations!
We need this to happen ASAP. You have no idea how the health of many lives have been affected by this whole mess at STRS. It is time to get on with it and the business at hand, which is seeing that EVERYTHING that happens at STRS is in strictest 3307.15 regard!!!!! That has not been happening and it is long past due. Your representative has not been doing his share for retirees rather going along with the crowd. I don't believe the Ohio Revised Code covers that!!!!
Thanks!
